Oren Netzer
Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer
Oren Netzer founded DoubleVerify in 2008 determined to bring needed accountability and transparency to online advertising, believing revenue and profit would flow throughout the system once all players could be assured of its integrity.
A 10-year veteran at the executive level with leading online advertising technology firms, Oren was General Manager and Chief Operating Officer for CheckM8, an online ad serving and rich media technology provider, overseeing product development, operations and customer support, as well as managing its Israeli product development offices.
Oren graduated from the Interdisciplinary Center in Israel with a degree in computer science and studied electrical engineering at The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Bob Nye
Principal, JMI Equity
Bob Nye joined JMI in 2005 and is based in Baltimore, Maryland. His primary areas of investment focus are Internet and enterprise software. Bob is currently a Director of Appriss, Inc. and Harmony Information Systems, Inc. He also supports the firm’s investments in Adknowledge, Inc., Axeda Corporation, BrightLine Partners, LLC, iContact Corporation and Undertone Networks, Inc. Bob also sits on the Board of the Young Atlantic Venture Association (YAVA).
Prior to joining JMI, Bob was a Consultant with Bates White, an economic consulting firm focused on econometric and statistical modeling.
Dennis Phelps
Dennis Phelps joined Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) in October 2001 and has over fifteen years of experience in technology-related finance. He focuses primarily on growth capital investments in software, Internet, mobile, wireless and digital media companies, as well as select public market opportunities. Dennis was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 venture capitalists in the world by his inclusion in the 2009 Forbes Midas List. He was also recognized by AlwaysOn as one of the top 100 venture capitalists by his inclusion in the AlwaysOn 2009 VC 100 List.
Dennis led IVP’s investments in Advent Software (ADVS), Chordiant Software (CHRD), Dust Networks, Quigo Technologies (TWX), Shazam, SuccessFactors (SFSF), Sugar, SupportSoft (SPRT), Synchronoss Technologies (SNCR), Yext and Yodlee, and he has been actively involved with the firm’s investments in Buddy Media, Business.com (DEXO), Gaia Online, HomeAway (AWAY), Kayak, Marketo, Mobile 365 (SAP), MySQL (ORCL) and Twitter. He currently serves as a board director or observer for Dust Networks, Shazam, Sugar, Yext and Yodlee.
David Bell
David Bell has more than 40 years of experience in the marketing communications sector. He is chairman emeritus, and former vice chairman and CEO of The Interpublic Group, one of the world’s largest marketing communications and services companies. David was chairman and CEO of True North Communications Inc., the world’s sixth-largest global advertising and marketing communications holding company; president and CEO of Bozell Worldwide, where he helped grow the agency from $12 million to more than $500 million in revenues; and president of Knox Reeves Advertising.
David is the immediate past chairman of The Advertising Council, and chairs the National Forest Foundation, a position he’s held since 2003. At NFF, he leads the foundation’s venture capital approach, funding community groups that excel at preserving and protecting our nation’s 190 million acres of national forest, a cause dear to his heart. He also established the NFF Carbon Capital Fund to create science-based carbon offset projects.
Inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame in March 2007, David is the author ofAchieving Success as an Advertising Team (Aspatore Books).
Gil Beyda
Managing Partner, Genacast Ventures
Gil Beyda is managing partner of Genacast Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund formed in partnership with Comcast Interactive Capital. Genacast invests up to $500,000 in new media, digital marketing, consumer Internet and Web x.0 companies.
Prior to Genacast, Gil was CTO of TACODA, the first and largest behavioral-targeted online ad network. TACODA was acquired by AOL in 2007.
Gil helped pioneer Internet advertising in 1995 as founder and CTO of Real Media, one of the first online ad networks and ad server companies. Real Media was acquired by 24/7 Media in 2001.
Because of his experience, credibility, and vision, Gil was a highly sought-after consultant in Asia, Europe and the United States for 10 years before his move to Real Media.
David J. Blumberg
Managing Partner, Blumberg Capital
David Blumberg, managing partner of Blumberg Capital, has been investing in early stage technology companies for nearly 25 years, focusing principally on digital media, social media, mobility, SaaS/technology-enabled services, and Internet.
Before he founded Blumberg Capital in 1991, David managed technology investments with Claridge Investments, Adler & Co., Apax, and T. Rowe Price Associates. David launched Check Point Software Technologies’ business development efforts.
David earned his AB in government, cum laude, from Harvard College, and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and INSEAD.
Chris Fralic
Managing Partner, First Round Capital
Chris Fralic joined First Round Capital in 2006, and was most recently VP of business development at del.icio.us, which was acquired by Yahoo! in December 2005. At del.icio.us, he focused on distribution partnerships to integrate the company across a broad set of browsers, tools, and publishing partners.
A six-year veteran of eBay, Chris leveraged his ad sales and business development strengths to help his company’s users connect strongly with entertainment companies such as Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Music Group, Apple and Netflix. Chris also led eBay’s entertainment categories, managing transaction, platform and supply/demand for the company’s books, movies and music marketplaces in the United States,—overseeing more than $1 billion in transaction volume.
Chris was VP of business development at Half.com, which eBay acquired in June 2000; there he helped develop the company’s fundraising, content licensing, affiliate program, supply and distribution partnerships, and advertising and sponsorships sales.
With more than 25 years of technology industry experience, Chris has excelled in Internet sales and business development roles since 1996. He was VP of business development at Nextron; director of business development at America Online; and an account manager at Oracle, focusing on early Internet offerings for AOL, Time Warner, and other top accounts.
Still earlier in his career, he held senior sales and management roles in the computer reseller and consulting services industry for companies such as The Computer Factory, BusinessLand, and ComputerLand/Vanstar, where he was responsible for more than $100 million in hardware, services, and consulting sales.
Wayne Gattinella
CEO and President
Prior to joining DoubleVerify in September, 2012, Wayne was CEO and President of WebMD (NASDAQ:WBMD), the leading source for health and wellness information. Under Wayne’s ten-year leadership WebMD evolved as the most recognized and trusted brand of health information for consumers and healthcare professionals, reaching over 100 million unique users per month. During that time he significantly expanded the company’s revenues and profitability into one of the world’s preeminent sites for large brand advertisers.
Wayne held previous senior management positions in several game changing public companies including Medco Health Solutions, MCI Telecommunications and People PC.
Wayne has an undergraduate degree from the Drexel University LeBow College of Business and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Drexel University College of Medicine.
